Birth Doula Workshop

Wed Mar 18 | 8:30 AM PDT | 10 hr

Learn how to provide skilled, compassionate doula support through pregnancy, labor, birth, and the early postpartum period with a blend of live instruction, hands on practice, and guided discussion. This comprehensive interactive ONLINE training prepares doulas to support families physically, emotionally, educationally, and through connection to community and care resources. Participants gain a clear understanding of the childbirth process, the doula’s role at each stage of labor and birth, and how to offer continuous, responsive support across a variety of birth settings. Unlike hospital based training, this course provides a full spectrum perspective on birth and support options, helping doulas understand critical decision points, communication strategies, and how to support informed choice while maintaining professional boundaries. The training is interactive and skills focused, allowing participants to practice comfort measures, positioning, labor support techniques, and real world client scenarios. This course is taught by a DONA International–approved trainer and meets the DONA Approved Birth Doula Workshop requirement toward DONA Birth Doula Certification. Prerequisite A DONA Approved Intro to Childbirth course must be successfully completed prior to attending this training. By the end of this course, participants will have the foundational knowledge, practical skills, and professional confidence needed to begin supporting birthing families and continue on the path toward certification.
