FITT Finder FAQ

Clear answers for a discovery-first beta.

FITT Finder is focused on making fitness businesses, services, offers, classes, programs, and local experiences easier to find. These answers explain what is live now, what is being improved, and what belongs later.

Using FITT Finder

What is FITT Finder?+
FITT Finder is a fitness discovery engine. It helps people find gyms, studios, trainers, classes, programs, intro offers, and fitness experiences by activity, location, format, and intent.
Is FITT Finder free to use?+
Yes. Browsing and searching FITT Finder is free for consumers during beta.
Can I book or buy fitness services directly on FITT Finder?+
Not yet. The current beta is focused on discovery, search, public profiles, and clear provider contact paths. Direct booking, checkout, and marketplace commerce are later-stage features.
What kinds of fitness experiences can I find?+
FITT Finder is being built to surface indoor classes, outdoor classes, free intro offers, gym passes, deals, programs, personal training, events, meetups, livestreaming, on-demand options, packages, and other fitness services as data becomes available.

Search and discovery

How do I search for fitness activities?+
Start from the homepage search field or the search results page. You can search by activity, business, offer type, city, category, or fitness intent, then use filters and map context where available.
Why do some results have more detail than others?+
FITT Finder is aggregating and organizing fitness data from multiple sources. Some profiles have stronger public information, while others are still being improved, reviewed, claimed, or enriched.
Are intro offers real?+
Some intro offers are brand-backed or inferred from known public offer patterns. Demo-only listings may exist in beta areas. FITT Finder should label and handle those differently as the data pipeline matures.
Why does FITT Finder care so much about categories and filters?+
Fitness discovery depends on matching intent. A person searching for beginner yoga, free gym access, boxing near me, senior fitness, or outdoor boot camp needs more than a generic business directory.

For fitness businesses

How does my business appear on FITT Finder?+
FITT Finder may include public business information gathered through aggregation, public sources, brand-backed records, or future provider-submitted updates. The goal is to make fitness businesses easier to discover.
Can I claim my business profile?+
Claim interest is supported during beta through the contact path. A full claim workflow is a later step, but providers can already ask to claim, correct, or improve a profile.
What should I send when I request a correction?+
Send the FITT Finder page URL, the business name, the city, the correct information, and a source that proves the update, such as your official website or public business profile.
Does FITT Finder guarantee leads or sales?+
No. The beta promise is discoverability and public profile quality, not guaranteed revenue. The current focus is helping people find accurate fitness options and helping providers become easier to find.

Beta and roadmap

Why is FITT Finder still in beta?+
The platform is still improving search quality, public data safety, mobile browsing, profile accuracy, filter behavior, claim paths, and the data pipeline that powers discovery.
What is coming later?+
Later stages may include richer provider tools, stronger claim workflows, better profile editing, improved ranking, saved experiences, provider analytics, and eventually commerce features when the discovery layer is strong enough.
Is FITT Finder a marketplace?+
Long term, yes, FITT Finder can become a marketplace for fitness experiences. Right now, it should be judged primarily as a discovery engine that makes fitness supply searchable and accessible.
Does FITT Finder provide medical advice?+
No. FITT Finder helps people discover fitness options. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for professional healthcare guidance.
