Whether you're new to dance or just curious about Hawaiian language and culture, come experience a joyful introduction to the art of hula. Learn basic posture, stance, hand motions and movements, understand the cultural and historical significance of hula, and perform a simple hula routine. By the end of the class, you should have the confidence to show off your newly learned skills to family and friends and have them cheering, "Hana Hou!" Please wear comfortable/athletic clothing, and be ready to experience what the Aloha Spirit is all about! Instructor: Elaine Simpson. 6 classes. No class 2/14. Residents in the AAPS district boundaries ages 65+ may be eligible for a 25% discount off one class per term.
