Please contact us during regular business hours for registration information. If you have never lifted or have limited experience lifting weights, it can be intimidating, but the benefits of lifting are numerous—stronger muscles can improve your posture, balance and help prevent injuries and conditions such as osteoporosis. Lifting also helps to tone, firm and shape your body. And finally, weight training can build your lean body mass which helps increase your metabolism and burn fat. In our Women on Weights class, our certified instructor introduces you to weight resistance techniques using dumbbells, barbells and other weight machines.
