Lauren discovered yoga at 13 years old, first learning poses through library books before convincing her mother to take her to a studio class. Yoga has been part of her life since then, and in many different forms; she continues to be grateful for how yoga has supported different phases of her life. One of Lauren's favorite things about yoga is how it brings together people from so many different walks of life, all seeking the time to look inward and explore their own unique practice. Lauren completed her 200 hour teacher training in 2021 and has continued her education with workshops and certifications in Yoga Nidra, adaptive yoga, and trauma informed teaching, as well as a deepening self-practice. Lauren has also experienced the power of Reiki healing and in 2023 studied with Melissa Lee to receive her Level II Reiki attunements and training. Yoga and Reiki have been an essential combination in Lauren's life and wellbeing and practices she loves to share with others. In her asana practice, Lauren gravitates toward slow flows, yin, and restorative, but does love an occasional fast paced vinyasa! In Lauren's classes you'll find calm energy, plenty of space to explore poses, and a welcoming atmosphere for everyone. She believes that yoga is for all and is a key practice to help you feel at home in your own body. Outside of yoga, Lauren is most often found exploring nature with her family, working a corporate 9-5 (and incorporating plenty of chair yoga during the day!), reading as many books as she possibly can, and taking on home improvement projects.
