This class introduces the fundamentals of pointe work for dancers who have developed sufficient strength and technique in flat shoes. The session begins with a thorough barre to build stability and alignment, followed by center exercises focusing on balance, relevés, and basic pointe vocabulary. Emphasis is placed on proper foot articulation, safe weight distribution, and gradual progression. This class participates in Darlington's Spring Dance Recital, held offsite on June, 2026. Upon registration each student will be charged a $90 dance recital fee. This fee includes the cost of the dance recital costume and up to six recital tickets. Additional tickets can be prepaid closer to the dance recital date. Recital costumes will be selected by teachers and shared with parents.
