
Foundational Flow (Beginner/Level 1)
This class is designed as an ideal introduction to the Vinyasa method of linking breath with movement and will teach proper alignment and muscular engagement, providing a solid foundation for a sustainable yoga practice. Sun Salute A & Sun Salute B postures are described in great detail the first round, introducing modifications for varied levels of practitioners. The second round links the breath to the movements. The third round allows the practitioner to bring it all together and flow through the postures, linking their breath to the movements, using whatever modified versions of the postures are appropriate for their body that day. Other postures are introduced similarly, are tailored to the moment, the amount of people in the room and the different levels of practitioners. We recommend taking this class at least 5 times if you are new to yoga, as it will provide knowledge upon which to build and grow your practice. It is also a great re-introduction if you are coming back to practice after a prolonged break.
